Day 10 of 30 Days of Giving Thanks
Day 10: Giving thanks for the experience of being at the Uncensored Conference.
As I drove home from LA this afternoon after three days at the Uncensored Conference, I found myself scribbling notes on my McDonald’s napkin. My head was spinning with thoughts and ideas related to the rebranding of The Henley Company and all of the concepts that I learned in the last 3 days. I had the gift of being on the “Hot Seat” this morning at Uncensored, which means I took the stage to tell the group about the current issue I am having in my business. Moderated by Marley Majcher, The Party Goddess, Hot Seat allows for you to gain the wisdom of a master mind of 50+ business owners. I’m beginning the process of rebranding The Henley Company from it’s original concept into something that better fits me and what makes my heart sing – a company based on EXPERIENCES! Today was the first day that I had really revealed the new concept to anyone outside of a select few. I’m pleased to say the concept was well received and I gained some amazing feedback and direction. I have a renewed energy and am now feeling impatient that I can’t roll out a new website, new brand and new direction right this minute. But as my friend Simon T. Bailey tells us, sometimes you have to slow down to speed up. After months of driving the speed limit, I’m ready to jump on the Autobahn. Sometimes you have to get out of your own head and your own town to gain perspective. Being at Uncensored certainly afforded me this opportunity. I am grateful for the friendships I have made, the knowledge I have gained and for now having the courage to put the pedal down and see how fast and far I can go!! Vroom! Vroom! See you on the Autobahn – if you can keep up!
