Day 28 of 30 Days of Giving Thanks
Day 28: Grateful for a peaceful weekend
My holiday weekend was very peaceful and I have to admit I have done very little other than spend time with family, watch a lot of soccer games, eat delicious grub and take a couple of naps. Don’t get me wrong, I love to work and to be on the go, which is why I think this weekend of really doing nothing more than just being a spectator was fabulous. Sometimes you just need to recharge your own mental and physical battery so that you can be your best self. I’m grateful for the opportunity to “just be” the past few days. With the madness of December quickly approaching, I appreciated the time to be calm before the storm. Having 4 days of doing nothing of great significance is so rare in my life that it has felt like a real gift!
This blog post barely squeaks in at 11:55 p.m. on the 28th day because I have been doing homework with my nephew. Glad to see I can still pass 7th grade! This has been a lesson tonight for him about not waiting until the last day of Thanksgiving break to start a major assignment! How did his bad planning become my emergency? 🙂
