I recently returned from the International Concierge & Lifestyle Management Association Conference in Tampa Bay, Florida. I had the pleasure of speaking to the attendees and delivering my presentation about self-producing events via strategic partnership. It was a great group of concierge and lifestyle management professionals from around the world. The closing speaker was Dean Pemberton, President of the Americas for a company called Quintessentially (www.quintessentially.com), the world’s largest luxury lifestyle management company. Dean shared the Q story and how it has evolved from 3 gentleman with an idea sitting in an office in London to over 700 team members in 55 countries worldwide — in 10 years! They have created the ultimate resource for everything ranging from travel, to experiences, to personal assistance and beyond. They define personalized luxury lifestyle services. Dean kept reminding us that this growth has happened in just 10 years. It’s unbelievable to think of where they started and how far they have come. To say I was inspired is an understatement! Henley has finally met the company it wants to be when it grows up! Since I am 3 years into my business, I better get mighty busy in the next 7 years if I even want to be in the same ballpark as Quintessentially. To deliver that level of luxury lifestyle management services would be a dream. It’s good to have a goal – the Henley empire awaits!
